People will want to see Cambodians united.” Another user, Bunthoeun, echoed this sentiment with a comment of support, stating, “I support Samdech Krala Hom as Prime Minister 100%.”
In response to these claims, the spokesman for the Cabinet of Samdech Krala Hom Sar Kheng articulated key points to the public:
1. Retirement from Political Aspirations : Samdech Krala Hom Sar Kheng has dedicated over 50 years of his life to a political career focused on serving the national interest and the Cambodian people. At this juncture in his life, he seeks to step back and enjoy a well-deserved rest without any ambitions to pursue the role of Prime Minister.
Additionally, in a statement released on August 17, 2024, Samdech Krala Hom Sar Kheng reaffirmed his unwavering support for the Cambodian People's Party under the leadership of Samdech Techo Hun Sen. He emphasized his commitment to the Royal Government of the 7th legislature of the National Assembly, which is led by Prime Minister Hun Manet.
