Deputy Prime Minister SOK Chenda Sophea receives a courtesy call by the People’s Republic of China’s new Ambassador to Cambodia
PHNOM PENH: On 08 August 2024, Mr. SOK Chenda Sophea, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, received a courtesy call by His Excellency Wang Wenbin, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Kingdom of Cambodia, at the Ministry.
Deputy Prime Minister congratulated Mr. Wang Wenbin on his appointment as the Chinese Ambassador to Cambodia and stated that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation stands ready to work closely with him and Chinese Embassy in Phnom Penh to contribute to further promoting Cambodia-China bilateral relations. Mr. Wang Wenbin expressed his sincere gratitude to Deputy Prime Minister for receiving the courtesy call and his warm words.
Deputy Prime Minister and Ambassador highly appreciated the continuous development of the bilateral relations and comprehensive strategic partnership between Cambodia and China, which cover almost all areas. Deputy Prime Minister and Mr. Wang Wenbin also discussed the further strengthening of the ironclad friendship and deepening of diamond cooperation to contribute to building a high-quality, high-level and high-standard Cambodia-China Community with a Shared Future.
Deputy Prime Minister expressed confidence that during his diplomatic mission in Cambodia, Ambassador will actively contribute to bringing further significant achievements to Cambodia-China relations.
