Stung Treng Ends City Lockdown but Administrative Measures Set for the Province

Stung Treng: No more lockdown in Stung Treng City but new administrative measures against Covid-19 is in place for the whole province. Stung Treng Provincial Administration has decided to end the city lockdown on Tuesday after 14 days implementation. The provincial administration put the whole city in lockdown on 17 August following the discoveries of Covid-19 Delta variant.

According to the administration, with the lockdown ended, an administrative measure to prevent the spread of Covid-19 is needed to protect the people in the province starting on Tuesday, 31 August until further notice. High-risk businesses are suspended such as clubs, resorts and amusement parks. It also suspends massage businesses, gyms and sports centres. Just like Phnom Penh, alcohol sales are also banned while the administrative measures are in place for the whole province. Gatherings are not permitted. In addition, a curfew is being set from 9pm to 3am.

Stung Treng Provincial Administration stresses that apart from the suspended activities and restrictions, people are required to continue wearing masks, observing social distance and practicing proper hygiene to prevent the further spread of the virus.
