Cambodian Jet Ski Team Triumphs with Three Medals at World Series Europe 2024

PHNOM PENH, July 29, 2024 — Cambodia's jet ski athletes continued their impressive performance by clinching three medals, including gold, at the World Series Europe 2024 held in Ostrow Warcki, Poland on July 28.

Saly Filin led the team with a gold medal in the Expert Runabout 1100 Super Stock category. His teammates, Min Mustan and Saly Oumoeut, added to the tally with silver and bronze medals in the Novice Runabout 1100 Stock and Pro Sport GP categories, respectively. Notably, Saly Oumoeut also secured a silver medal in the Pro Am Runabout 1100 Open event on the same day.

The success in Poland follows a strong performance on July 27, when Cambodian competitors Kay Vansiden and Min Osman captured gold and silver respectively in the Novice Ski Stock event.

The event in Poland marks the first round of the WGP#1 Waterjet World Series for the 2024 season. The athletes will next compete in the second round scheduled to take place in Lake Havasu City, USA, from October 7 to 13, with the final round slated for December 11-15 in Pattaya City, Thailand.

Last year, during the final round of the WGP#1 Waterjet World Series in Bangkok, Thailand, the Cambodian team also showcased strong performances, returning with one silver and three bronze medals. Min Mustan won silver in the Expert Ski GP, while Saly Filin, Min Osman, and Kay Vansiden each took home a bronze in various categories.
