The marathon is set to take place on August 4 in Siem Reap province, featuring several categories: a full marathon of 42 kilometers, a half marathon of 21 kilometers, a 10-kilometer race, and a 3-kilometer fun run designed for families and children.

The breakdown of participants includes 457 for the full marathon, 630 for the half marathon, 1,380 for the 10-kilometer race, and 457 for the 3-kilometer fun run, according to Mr. Phalla.

It aims to boost tourism in the area by drawing visitors to the Angkor Archaeological Park and to further the development of Cambodia’s sports sector.
