BREAKING NEWS: One Killed and Three Injured in Tree Collapse at Tonle Oum Bridge, Angkor Resort

Siem Reap: A rainstorm caused a tragic accident at the Tonle Oum Bridge in the Angkor resort, Siem Reap province, resulting in one fatality and three injuries. 

Siem Reap Provincial Hall spokesman Ly Vannak informed EAC News that the incident occurred at 5 PM on July 23, 2024. A Cambodian tourist riding a tricycle was among the victims.

The collapse also damaged statues along the Tonle Oum Bridge. Authorities are currently making arrangements to return the deceased's body to their home in Takeo province.

Vannak expressed deep regret over the incident and extended condolences to the victims' families.
