Capital-Provincial Information Officers Receive Instruction to Strengthen Media

Phnom Penh: The Minister of Information, Mr. Neth Pheaktra, chaired a crucial meeting with Capital-Provincial Information Officers at the Ministry of Information to address key aspects of information management, public opinion monitoring, media strengthening, and human resource management. This meeting aligns with the policy objectives of the Royal Government and the Ministry of Information.

During the meeting held on the morning of July 22, 2024, Mr. Pheaktra highlighted the vital role of the Department of Information in supporting the Provincial Unity Command. He emphasized the importance of disseminating policies, guidelines, and regulations to the public effectively.

"The Department of Information plays an active role in assisting the Provincial Unity Command in its work, participating in disseminating policies, guidelines, and other regulations to the people," stated Mr. Pheaktra.

The Minister encouraged the leadership of the Ministry to continue enhancing the capacity of officials in the Department of Information to increase efficiency and broaden the dissemination of accurate information. This effort is aimed at ensuring the public receives truthful information from all perspectives, thereby helping to prevent and combat misinformation.

Mr. Pheaktra commended the leaders and civil servants of the Ministry of Information, both at the national and sub-national levels, for their dedication to serving the public. He acknowledged their efforts in providing public services and disseminating government policies, achievements, and other important information through various means to enhance public knowledge and awareness.
