PM Hun Manet Mandates Integration of Online Health, Immigration, and Customs Formalities within One Month to Facilitate Tourist Arrivals
Siem Reap, 18th July 2024 – Prime Minister Hun Manet announced this morning that relevant ministries and institutions must integrate online health, immigration, and customs formalities within one month to streamline the arrival process for tourists at international gates.
Prime Minister Hun Manet emphasized this initiative during a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the Samdech Preah Brahma Rattanamony Pin Sem Museum at Wat Reach Bo in Sangkat Sala Kamroeuk, Siem Reap City.
He mentioned that this directive was outlined during the Board of Study, Marketing, and Promotion of Tourism in Cambodia meeting on July 10, 2024, which aimed to establish practical guidelines for boosting tourism.
“The meeting that day, I set many goals. First, establish the E-Arrival system of the General Department of Immigration, which had already developed an online system before reverting to paperwork. Now, I asked to integrate customs, health, and immigration into one online form within a month,” Hun Manet stated.
The Prime Minister highlighted that visa fee payments and other related charges should be made online to eliminate the need for tourists to queue for payment, ensuring a smoother experience at the airport.
