Senate President Hun Sen Escorts King in Banquet for Vietnamese President

Phnom Penh, July 12, 2024 – On the evening of Friday, July 12, 2024, Senate President Hun Sen escorted His Majesty King Norodom Sihamoni of Cambodia during a state banquet in honor of His Excellency To Lam, President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. The banquet took place at the Royal Palace to mark President To Lam's two-day official visit to Cambodia from July 12-13, 2024.

During his state visit, President To Lam engaged in various activities and discussions aimed at strengthening the close cooperation between Cambodia and Vietnam. This visit follows an invitation from His Majesty King Norodom Sihamoni, highlighting the long-standing friendly relations between the two neighboring countries.

President To Lam had a private audience with His Majesty King Norodom Sihamoni and Her Majesty Queen Mother Norodom Monineath Sihanouk at the Royal Palace. Additionally, President To Lam held meetings with top Cambodian leaders, including Senate President Hun Sen, National Assembly President Khuon Sodary, and Prime Minister Hun Manet. These discussions focused on bilateral and multilateral cooperation, emphasizing traditional friendship and comprehensive collaboration for mutual benefit.

Before meeting with Cambodian leaders, President To Lam paid respects by laying wreaths at the Independence Monument, the Royal Memorial of King Father Norodom Sihanouk, and the Cambodia-Vietnam Friendship Monument.
