Cambodia, Vietnam Strengthen Friendly Cooperation and Relations

Phnom Penh, July 15, 2024 – Dr. Men Sam An, Member of Parliament for Svay Rieng Province and President of the Cambodia-Vietnam Friendship Association, met with TO Lam, President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, to discuss furthering friendly cooperation between the two countries. The meeting took place at the Sofitel Hotel on the morning of July 13, 2024.

During the meeting, President To Lam praised Cambodia's rapid development under the leadership of former Prime Minister Hun Sen and current Prime Minister Hun Manet. He also congratulated Cambodia on its recent election results. President To Lam emphasized the strong historical ties and good neighborly relations between Vietnam and Cambodia, noting their cooperation in fighting common enemies and their solidarity in various fields.

Dr. Men Sam An welcomed President To Lam’s state visit to Cambodia and extended congratulations on his recent election. She expressed the commitment of the Cambodia-Vietnam Friendship Association to continue building friendly relations and solidarity between the two nations, based on the spirit of "good neighborliness, traditional friendship, all-round cooperation, and long-term stability."
