UPDATE: Shooting at Trump Rally in Butler, Pennsylvania: Former President Trump Injured

Butler, PA: Former United States President Donald J. Trump was rushed off stage during a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, following a shooting incident on Saturday. The Secret Service quickly intervened, escorting Trump to safety while shouting, “Get down.” 

In a statement on social media, Trump expressed his gratitude to the United States Secret Service and law enforcement for their rapid response. He also extended condolences to the family of a person killed at the rally and to another individual who was badly injured. Trump revealed that he was shot in the upper part of his right ear, describing the moment he felt the bullet and the immediate realization of the situation. "Much bleeding took place," he said, emphasizing the gravity of the incident.

President Joe Biden also addressed the incident on social media, stating that he had been briefed on the shooting and was relieved to hear that Trump was safe. Biden condemned the violence, calling for national unity against such acts. “There’s no place for this kind of violence in America,” he said.

According to U.S. media reports, the suspect involved in the shooting and a member of the audience were killed. The investigation into the incident is ongoing, with authorities yet to release further details about the shooter.
