Cambodia and the Philippines to Convene Fourth Meeting of the Joint Commission for Bilateral Cooperation Next Month

Phnom Penh, 12 July 2024: On 10 July 2024, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation SOK Chenda Sophea received a courtesy call from Ambassador Flerida Ann Camille P. Mayo, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of the Philippines to Cambodia, at the Ministry.

Both the Deputy Prime Minister and the Ambassador expressed satisfaction with the significant progress in bilateral relations and cooperation in various areas, including trade, investment, tourism, connectivity, defense, and security.

The Deputy Prime Minister expressed his pleasure at his upcoming first official visit to the Republic of the Philippines, where he will co-chair the Fourth Joint Commission for Bilateral Cooperation (4th JCBC) meeting in August in Manila. The meeting aims to explore ways to elevate Cambodia-Philippines relations to even greater heights for mutual benefit.

Additionally, both officials reaffirmed their mutual support in regional and international forums.
