Chip Mong Group's Support to AMK to Bolster Human Capital Development in Cambodia

Phnom Penh, July 10, 2024— This morning, Dr. Pich Chanmony, President of the Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen Scholarship Students Association (AMK), and Duke Leang Khun, Co-Founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Chip Mong Group, presided over the signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between their institutions at the Hyatt Regency Hotel.

During the ceremony, Oknha Leang Khun expressed gratitude for the nation's peace and development under the Royal Government's leadership. He affirmed Chip Mong Group's commitment to supporting AMK through this MoU, continuing the company's tradition of contributing to national development efforts.

Dr. Pich Chanmony thanked Chip Mong Group for its ongoing support since 2015, including a recent pledge of an additional USD 1 million for 2024-2028. She highlighted the private sector's vital role in the Royal Government's Pentagon strategy, which prioritizes human capital development as essential for socio-economic progress.

"The support from Chip Mong Group will enable AMK to expand its efforts in building human capital in Cambodia, in line with Prime Minister Hun Manet's vision," Dr. Pech Chanmony stated.

The AMK Scholarship Student Association was founded by Hun Sen and his wife, with a mission to provide scholarships to underprivileged students in Cambodia, helping them pursue education at all levels and contribute to society's development.
