Australian Business Delegation Explores Cambodia’s Investment Potential

Phnom Penh, July 9, 2024 – An Australian business delegation is visiting Cambodia to explore investment opportunities in green energy, tourism, food farming, and the establishment of special economic zones.

The delegation, led by Dr. Cheunboran Chanborey, Ambassador of Cambodia to Australia and New Zealand, and accompanied by Taing Sethy, President of the Cambodia Chamber of Commerce in Melbourne, was received by Nut-Un Voanra, Deputy Secretary General of the Cambodian Investment Board of the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC), at the CDC’s headquarters on July 8.

This visit follows the successful Cambodia-Australia Business Forum held alongside the 2024 ASEAN-Australia Special Summit in Melbourne, Australia, in March. The forum was presided over by Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet.

Nut-Un Voanra welcomed the delegation and expressed optimism that more Australian investors would consider investing in Cambodia in the future.
