Wang Wenbin Arrives in Cambodia with Confidence in Strengthening Diplomatic Ties

Phnom Penh: The newly appointed Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Cambodia, Wang Wenbin, arrived in Cambodia at around 11 pm on June 5, 2024. 

In a four-minute message to reporters, Wang expressed his delight at becoming China's 18th ambassador to Cambodia, reflecting on the historical ties between the two nations. He expressed optimism about further strengthening the relationship between Cambodia and China during his tenure.

Wang Wenbin, aged 53, previously served as the 32nd spokesperson for the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs from July 2020 to May 2024. With over 30 years of experience in diplomatic missions, particularly in planning, policy, and African affairs, he brings extensive expertise to his new role. Wang also previously served as the Chinese Ambassador to Tunisia.
