Cambodia and Australia Launch Online Platform for Enterprise Registration and Licensing

Phnom Penh, July 2, 2024 – Great news for Cambodian enterprises! Cambodia and Australia have jointly launched a new digital platform designed for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), handicraft, and industry owners to register and license their businesses efficiently.

The launch ceremony, held in Phnom Penh on June 27, introduced the user-friendly online portal, developed by the Ministry of Industry, Science, Technology & Innovation, in collaboration with Australia, and supported by the Cambodia Australia Partnership for Resilient Economic Development (CAPRED) program.

The platform offers several key benefits:

Simplifies registration and licensing processes

Reduces the need for in-person visits

Improves processing times

Makes payments easier and more transparent

This initiative aims to boost Cambodia's economic growth by formalizing the SMEs, handicraft, and industry sectors, which constitute more than 70% of the jobs in the country. By doing so, it will enhance access to finance and markets for businesses and attract foreign investment.

Australia remains committed to supporting Cambodia in creating a business-enabling environment that fosters resilient, inclusive, and sustainable economic growth.
