Phnom Penh, July 2, 2024 – With a commitment to fostering knowledge in vibrant investment and business collaboration, as well as contributing to society and humanity, Hor Sereyvath, Chairman of the Board of the IDI Association and IDC Company, has been honored with the CHT International Outstanding Achievers Award 2024. The award ceremony occurred on June 29, 2024, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
The CHT International Awards, established in 2008, recognizes leaders and institutions that have excelled in their fields and contributed significantly to their national societies. This year, the event was graced by Sultan of Selangor and attended by over 400 leaders from various public and private sectors worldwide.
Hor Sereyvath was evaluated by the committee based on his achievements in both business and investment sectors, as well as his contributions to society. He is recognized as an expert in commerce with extensive experience in building investment networks both domestically and internationally. Currently, IDI, under his leadership, is a leading private institution in Cambodia’s investment ecosystem.
In addition to his business acumen, Hor Sereyvath is a dedicated social leader. He has played a prominent role in non-formal economic activities in Cambodia, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, where he formed a task force to provide advice and intervention to citizens, collaborating with national and local institutions, particularly the Ministry of Health. Furthermore, he is the founder of the Cambodia Against COVID-19 Fund, which has provided essential supplies and medical assistance to over 10,000 citizens with the support of national and international philanthropists.
Reaching this point was difficult for Dr. Hau Sereyvath, who overcame numerous challenges. As a Cambodian, receiving the CHT International Outstanding Achievers Award 2024 is a testament to his dedication and remarkable success in supporting both local and international communities. It is a source of pride for all Cambodians and is expected to inspire future generations with new and positive visions.
Brief Biography of Hau Sereyvath
Hor Sereyvath is the President of the Innovative Development Investors Association (IDI) and IDC Capital Co., Ltd. He is also the President of the Informal Economy Association (IEL), a member of the Board of Directors of the Khmer Entrepreneurs Association, a member of the National COVID-19 Vaccination Committee, and the founder and president of the Cambodia Against COVID-19 Fund. Additionally, he serves on the Board of Directors of the National Assembly of Cambodia (NAB) and holds leadership roles in various other companies and associations.
Hor Sereyvath previously served in the Cambodian government, the ASEAN Secretariat responsible for investment, as Vice President of the Cambodian Chamber of Commerce, and as President of the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy Alumni Association in Cambodia. He was an outstanding student in the 1999 National Khmer Literature Examination and holds a Bachelor of Commerce (BCOM), a Master of Business Administration (MBA), and a Master of Public Administration (MPA) from the National University of Singapore's Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy. He also received an honorary doctorate from International Morality University in the United States.
He has been honored with several international awards, including from the US-ASEAN Business Council in 2010 and the Distinguished Leadership Award in Poland. Now, he has been awarded the CHT International Outstanding Achievers Award 2024 in Malaysia.
