Phnom Penh, June 27, 2024 – Forty-five Cambodian sports delegates, including coaches and athletes, are participating in the 21st ASEAN University Games, which commenced on June 25 and will continue until July 6 in Indonesia.
The delegation is led by Ke Bunkheang, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sports, who detailed that the Cambodian team is competing in six sports categories: petanque, WT Taekwondo, athletics, karate, swimming, and judo.
During the opening ceremony of the games, Dito Ariotedjo, Indonesia's Minister of Youth and Sports Affairs, welcomed the athletes and delegations from across ASEAN. He emphasized that the games are a vital platform not only for enhancing athletic skills but also for promoting camaraderie and unity among the participating nations.
