Phnom Penh, June 27, 2024 – The APSARA National Authority is currently restoring the stairs and floors at the Neak Poan Temple, situated in the Angkor Archaeological Park in Siem Reap province. This effort is part of a broader project to preserve the integrity of the temple, which dates back to the reign of King Jayavarman VII.

According to a press release issued by the APSARA National Authority on June 26, the restoration work focuses on the eastern, northern, and western shrines of the temple. The Department of Conservation of Monuments and Preventive Archaeology is leading the project, with a dedicated team of technicians from the Department of Temple Preservation and Archaeology.
