MOSVY Reminds Private Enterprises with At Least 100 PWD Employees to Register

Phnom Penh: The Ministry of Social Affairs, Veterans and Youth Rehabilitation has reminded owners of private enterprises with at least 100 employees with disabilities to register. This move is in line with the law to protect and promote the rights of the persons with disabilities.

MOSVY says that for already established private enterprises, the registration deadline is until 30 September. For those new establishments, they are obliged to make the registration no later than 30 days after the opening of the enterprises.

It has added, "In case the owner of the private enterprises or establishments fails to fulfill the obligations in accordance with the law and sub-decree, MOSVY will take action to impose fines under Article 54 of the Law on the Protection and the Promotion of the Rights of Persons of Disabilities and bring the case to the court."
