PM Approves Sailing Competition

Sihanoukville: Prime Minister Hun Sen has authorized the Sailing Federation of Cambodia and Singapore to jointly organize the Southeast Asian Championships at the end of 2021. Both Sailing Federation of Cambodia and the Sailing Federation of Singapore are planning to hold this International Sailing Competition on12-17 December. The organization is estimating seven to eight participating countrieswith the participation of about 7 to 8 countries.

 The Sailing Competition is expected to boost the Cambodian sailing up to the SEA Games. The kingdom will host the SEA Games 2023. Minister of Tourism Thong Khon says that without the international competition, it could be difficult for Cambodia's readiness as well as capacity building for the SEA Games.
