International Cruise Ship Brings 200 Tourists to Cambodia's Shores

PHNOM PENH, June 5, 2024 – The cruise ship "The World," flying the Bahamian flag, recently made port at the Sihanoukville Autonomous Port in Preah Sihanouk province. Arriving on June 4 for a four-day visit, the ship has introduced 190 tourists from 28 different nationalities to the coastal delights of Cambodia.

The vessel, crewed by 289 individuals from 35 nationalities, embarked from Thailand and is set to continue its journey to Vietnam on the evening of June 7, as stated by an immigration police spokesperson.

The majority of the passengers are American and British, exploring the province’s natural resorts and beaches, and some have ventured to Siem Reap province to tour the historic temples of Angkor.

The tourist vessel, measuring 196.35 meters in length and 29.80 meters in width, is docking for the first time in the province, bringing a significant boost to local tourism.
