Cambodian Para Bowlers Gear Up for International Championship at Phnom Penh's Probowl Bowling Centre

PHNOM PENH, Cambodia - Cambodia's para athletes are making impressive strides in preparation for the upcoming Cambodia Open Para Bowling Championship 2024, according to a visiting Malaysian technical director assessing their progress.

Mr. Chhay Keak, Secretary General of the Cambodia Bowling Federation, shared this positive update after a meeting with Mr. George Tan, the technical director from Malaysia. The meeting followed a two-month intensive training program for the Cambodian para bowling team.

The Cambodia Open Para Bowling Championship 2024 will be held at the state-of-the-art Probowl Bowling Centre, located within Phnom Penh's Khalandale Mall, from June 21 to 27.

While there are currently 20 para athletes undergoing training, only the top 8 to 10 performers will be selected to represent Cambodia in the championship. A successful showing could see these athletes elevated to national team status, opening doors for them to compete in international sporting events.

The prestigious tournament is expected to draw approximately 130 para athletes and sports officials from nine countries and regions, including South Korea, China, Hong Kong, Japan, Czech Republic, Philippines, Thailand, India, and Malaysia. The Probowl Bowling Centre, with its world-class facilities, promises to be a stage for exceptional bowling and a display of athletic excellence.
