Cambodian Commerce Official Inspects Business and Cultural Center Under Construction in Japan

Asuki, Japan, May 2, 2024 — Lim Lok Piseth, Secretary of State for the Ministry of Commerce, along with Tuy Ry, Ambassador of Cambodia to Japan, visited the construction site of the Cambodian Private Business Center and Khmer Village in Asuki, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan, on the afternoon of May 1, 2024. The visit also included a meeting with Takeshi Okami, a representative of Kojima Holdings Co., Ltd., which manages and operates the center.

During his visit, Lim Lok Piseth observed that the Cambodian Private Business Center was being developed into an effective and appealing hub for showcasing Cambodia’s trade, investment opportunities, and cultural offerings. He noted that the center is set to play a crucial role in promoting Khmer products, food, and traditional culture.

Lim Lok Piseth commended the efforts of the center in enhancing trade and investment ties between Cambodia and Japan. He encouraged ongoing initiatives such as human resource training and trade matching workshops and emphasized the importance of facilitating business operations for Japanese investors interested in Cambodia.
