Eight High School Students Advance to Third Round of National Youth Debate Competition

PHNOM PENH, April 28, 2024 — Eight high school students have successfully advanced to the third round of the National Youth Debate Competition 2024, scheduled for June 2. The competition, which celebrates the articulate and quick-witted among Cambodia’s youth, has now entered its crucial phase.

The candidates, who competed fiercely in the second round, were praised for their dedication and effort. The organizing committee encouraged those who did not advance to apply their new skills and knowledge in their educational pursuits and to prepare for future competitions.

The competition is not only a test of intellect but also of character, as participants are recognized for their courage and commitment. “This is merely the starting point, not the culmination of your efforts,” the committee noted, urging all participants to persist in their endeavors.

As the competitors prepare for the upcoming round, the committee extends its best wishes for their continued health and success. The public is invited to attend the next round of debates, promising a display of some of the best young debaters the nation has to offer.
