Cambodia Launches Annual 'One Enterprise as One Peaceful Community' Award

PHNOM PENH, April 30, 2024 — The Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training announced the launch of an annual award titled 'One Enterprise as One Peaceful Community,' set to commence on May 1 each year.

The Minister of Labour and Vocational Training, Heng Sour, revealed the new initiative on April 28, stating that the inaugural award ceremony will take place on May 1, 2025. The award will feature three main prizes, recognizing enterprises that exemplify peaceful and productive workplace environments.

Winners of the awards will receive a unique award mascot, a certification of recognition that can serve as a reference to build trust with partners, and an exemption from regular inspections for a period ranging from one to three years.

The criteria for the award include compliance with established working conditions, maintaining professional relationships, and upholding occupational safety and health standards. Additionally, adherence to regulations concerning the employment of youth, the implementation of social security measures, labor productivity enhancement programs, and corporate social responsibility initiatives will also be considered.
