Pen Bona Leads Workshop on Effective Communication for Banteay Meanchey Spokespersons

Phnom Penh, March 18, 2024 - Pen Bona, Minister Delegate to the Prime Minister and Chairman of the Royal Government Spokesperson Unit, inaugurated an orientation course titled "Effectiveness of Information and Speech" aimed at enhancing the communication skills of the Banteay Meanchey Provincial Administrative Spokespersons. The event saw participation from more than 360 officials.

The workshop took place at the Banteay Meanchey Provincial Hall on the morning of March 18, 2024, drawing officials from various levels of provincial, district-municipal, and commune-sangkat administrations. Among the attendees were notable figures such as Blake Vary, Chairman of the Provincial Council, and Oum Rath, Governor of Banteay Meanchey Province.

Following an introduction by Governor Oum Rath, Pen Bona delved into the intricacies of effective information dissemination and the pivotal role of spokespeople. He underscored the significance of accurately conveying the achievements of the Royal Government to the public and actively countering misinformation and exaggerated claims with prompt and factual responses.

This orientation session marks a step forward in bolstering the communication capabilities of administrative officials in Banteay Meanchey, emphasizing the need for clear, factual, and efficient information sharing to foster a well-informed community.
