PM Urges Doctors to Have Clear Skills and Responsibilities

Kandal, March 13, 2024 – Addressing the crucial role of the healthcare sector in safeguarding lives and shaping the nation's future, Prime Minister Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet emphasized the necessity for doctors to possess distinct skills and responsibilities.

Delivering his remarks at the inaugural event of Techo Sen Koh Thom Hospital in Koh Thom District, Kandal Province, Samdech Mani underscored the significance of prioritizing public well-being as a central policy of the new government. He stressed the imperative to fortify and enhance the capabilities of medical practitioners across all tiers.

"Doctors must possess well-defined competencies to navigate decision-making processes effectively," asserted the Prime Minister.

Emphasizing the pivotal role of training, education, and healthcare in national development, the Prime Minister underscored their interconnectedness in fostering robust human resources, safeguarding territorial integrity, and preserving Cambodia's rich cultural heritage and civilization.

The call for clarity in doctors' skills and responsibilities comes amidst a broader governmental push to elevate healthcare standards and enhance the accessibility and quality of medical services nationwide.
