Sihanoukville Authorities Detain Nearly 90 People in "Jindan Zhi" Karaoke Drug Bust

Preah Sihanouk: In a decisive move against drug-related activities, authorities in Preah Sihanouk Province launched a raid on the infamous "Jindan Zhi" karaoke establishment, situated in Group 2, Village 4, Sangkat 4, Preah Sihanouk Province. The operation, carried out on March 5, 2024, resulted in the detention of 87 suspects and the confiscation of a significant quantity of illicit drugs and related paraphernalia.

Coordinated by representatives of the Sihanoukville Provincial Prosecutor's Office, the raid targeted trafficking, storage, facilitation, and processing of illegal drugs within the premises.

A substantial array of evidence was seized during the operation, including 11 packs of suspected drugs, 7 packs of white gram powder, 7 bottles containing suspected white gram powder, 2 packs of suspected drugs, 1 pack of WY pills, 1 suspected drug, 35 tablets of suspected liquid, bottles of blue and yellow pills, 5 packs of suspected drugs, 10 packs of suspected drugs, 10 packs of dried marijuana, and 2 packs of nitrous oxide in 3 balloons.

Furthermore, drug processing equipment, including 6 drug processing bottles and 6 drug weighing scales, along with various ingredients, packaging materials, and paraphernalia associated with drug use, were also confiscated. Additionally, authorities seized 5 passports and several hard cards.

Presently, the authorities are diligently pursuing further investigations and adhering to legal procedures to address the ramifications of the operation.

This significant crackdown underscores the commitment of law enforcement agencies in Preah Sihanouk Province to combatting the scourge of drug-related activities and maintaining public safety within the region.
