Ministry of Tourism Discusses Skill Development

Phnom Penh: The Ministry of Tourism recently held discussions with representatives from the Paul Dubrule Hotel and Tourism Training School, focusing on enhancing tourism skills development in Cambodia.

Minister of Tourism Sok Soken spearheaded the conversation, welcoming a delegation led by Mr. François Schnoebelen, Director of the Paul Dubrule School and Deputy Chairman of the Tourism Committee of the European Chamber of Commerce in Cambodia (EuroCham). The dialogue centered on the critical need for Cambodia to nurture quality tourism human resources, capable of meeting the demands of an increasingly competitive labor market.

Mr. François Schnoebelen and his delegation expressed appreciation for the Ministry's initiatives and pledged to continue their collaborative efforts in equipping Cambodian youth with high-quality tourism skills. This partnership aims particularly to benefit areas with high tourist influx, such as Siem Reap province, by providing targeted training programs.

The engagement reflects a mutual commitment to advancing Cambodia's tourism industry through skill development, ensuring that the workforce is well-prepared to contribute to the sector's growth and competitiveness on a global scale.
