Techo Sen Koh Thom Hospital Set for Grand Opening on March 13, 2024

Phnom Penh: The Techo Sen Koh Thom Hospital, situated in Koh Thom District, is slated for its official inauguration on March 13, 2024. This announcement was made this morning, March 5, 2024, by Sun Chanthol, First Deputy Prime Minister and First Vice President of the Council for the Development of Cambodia, through a Facebook post. The hospital stands as a testament to a collaborative effort involving local and foreign philanthropists, Calmette Hospital, and spearheaded by the initiative of Deputy Prime Minister Sun Chanthol and Professor Chheang Ra. It aims to enhance the healthcare services available to the community in Koh Thom and the surrounding areas.

The Deputy Prime Minister shared that the hospital complex includes three newly constructed buildings, covering a total area of 12,544.4 square meters. Designed to accommodate 150 beds, these facilities are outfitted with air conditioning, a Hospital Information System (HIS), and state-of-the-art medical and technical equipment to provide comprehensive treatment services.

The layout of the hospital complex is as follows:

The main hospital building spans three floors, with each floor measuring 3,514.8 square meters, culminating in a total area of 10,544.4 square meters.

An additional building on the left, comprising two floors, each floor covers an area of 500 square meters, making up a total space of 1,000 square meters.

A corresponding structure on the right also features two floors, with the ground and first floors each extending over 500 square meters, thus contributing another 1,000 square meters to the overall facility.

The establishment of Techo Sen Koh Thom Hospital marks a significant milestone in the efforts to provide improved healthcare infrastructure and services in Cambodia. With its modern facilities and equipment, the hospital is poised to become a crucial healthcare provider for the people of Koh Thom, ensuring that the community has access to quality medical care.
