Asian Cultural Council Endorses Cambodia's National Culture Day Celebrations

Phnom Penh: The Asian Cultural Council (ACC) has come forward to support the Royal Government of Cambodia's observance of the 26th National Culture Day on March 3. This year's festivities, embraced under the theme "Youth for Culture," resonate deeply with the nation's commitment to preserving its cultural identity, as outlined in the sub-decree established on January 24, 2006.

The ACC, in its press release, highlighted the significance of this annual celebration, which stands as a testament to the "Cambodia: Kingdom of Culture" slogan. It's a day that brings to the forefront Cambodia's invaluable contributions to world culture, celebrated through its tangible and intangible heritages that have earned their rightful places on the World Heritage List.

The architecture of Cambodian temples, with their prestigious, magnificent, and luxurious designs, serves as a beacon of the enduring legacy of the Khmer culture and civilization. These structures encapsulate the essence of thousands of years of cultural evolution, showcasing the depth and diversity of the nation's historical backdrop.

National Culture Day is more than just a celebration; it's a vibrant showcase of the arts, culture, traditions, civilization, religion, sculpture, classical music, and philosophy that together compose Cambodia's glorious legacy. This day is a reminder of the country's rich cultural tapestry and serves as an inspiration for the love and protection of its cultural heritage.

Through the celebration of National Culture Day, Cambodia not only honors its past but also paves the way for future generations. It encourages the youth to take an active role in the conservation and development of their culture, ensuring that Cambodia's unique heritage continues to be celebrated and preserved for years to come.
