Germany and Cambodia to Enhance Collaboration in Education and Health Sectors

Phnom Penh: During a courtesy call on Prime Minister Hun Manet on February 28th, Ms. Martina Stamm-Fibich, Chairwoman of the Petitions Committee of the German Bundestag, expressed Germany's intention to enhance cooperation with Cambodia in the areas of education, human resource training, and healthcare.

Ms. Stamm-Fibich emphasized the importance of these sectors in addressing the needs of both countries and fostering mutual benefits. She also mentioned Germany's current need for skilled workers and healthcare professionals.

Prime Minister Hun Manet expressed gratitude for Germany's contributions to Cambodia's development, particularly in education, human resource development, and democracy. He welcomed Ms. Stamm-Fibich's proposal, highlighting the Cambodian government's focus on human resource development to drive economic growth.

The Prime Minister further emphasized the government's commitment to strengthening the healthcare sector, improving human resource training, and providing vocational skills to the people. He encouraged both nations' relevant institutions to work together and develop plans to advance cooperation in these areas.

This year marks the 57th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Cambodia and Germany.
