Siem Reap Gears Up for the 8th River Festival and "Visit Siem Reap 2024" Campaign

Siem Reap: The Ministry of Tourism has announced the staging of the 8th River Festival and the launch of the "Visit Siem Reap 2024" campaign, set to take place from March 16th to March 17th, 2024, in Siem Reap Province. This vibrant event is a collaborative effort between the Ministry of Tourism, the Siem Reap Provincial Administration, the Union of Youth Federations of Cambodia, various relevant ministries, institutions, and the private sector, all under the banner of "River for Peace and Development".

The Prime Minister of Cambodia, Hun Manet, along with Dr. Pich Chanmony Hun Manet, will grace the official opening ceremony of the festival on Saturday, March 16th, 2024. The festival aims to showcase the rich cultural heritage and tourism potential of Siem Reap, aligning with the broader goals of promoting peace and sustainable development through the celebration of the country's riverine resources.

The festival is slated to offer an array of joyful activities, including:

Live concerts, diverse performances, musical entertainment, and a spectacular fireworks display.

An exhibition showcasing tourism and general products, the Mekong Food Festival, and a variety of entertainment activities along the Siem Reap River and the bustling Pub Street.

The Ministry of Tourism extends a warm invitation to both national and international guests to partake in and experience the festivities, which will commence on Friday, March 15th, and conclude on Sunday, March 17th, 2024.
