Cambodia and Mongolia to Enhance Bilateral Tourism Cooperation

Phnom Penh: Sok Soken, Cambodia's Minister of Tourism, engaged in talks with Mongolia's Minister of Culture, Nomin Chinbat, on February 24, 2024. The meeting, which took place on the sidelines of the 7th International Conference of the Asian Political Parties (ICAPP) in Ulan Bator, Mongolia, focused on enhancing bilateral tourism cooperation between the two nations.

During their discussion, both ministers explored various strategies to strengthen tourism links and agreed to advance towards signing a memorandum of understanding on tourism. They also deliberated on the promotion of direct flights between Cambodia and Mongolia, aiming to facilitate easier travel and increase tourist exchanges in the future.

This development marks a significant step towards deepening the cultural and economic connections between Cambodia and Mongolia through tourism. Both countries recognize the potential benefits of closer cooperation in this sector, including increased visitor numbers, cultural exchange, and economic growth.
