Minebea Cambodia Eyes New Special Economic Zone for Production Expansion

Phnom Penh: Japanese tech giant Minebea Cambodia is planning a significant expansion in the kingdom, with plans to establish a new special economic zone (SEZ) to facilitate a broader connected production chain.

The expansion strategy was discussed by Mr. Yoshihisa Kainuma, Director General of Minebea Cambodia, during a productive meeting with the Deputy Prime Minister, First Vice President of the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC), at the CDC headquarters in Phnom Penh on February 21.

Minebea Cambodia, a key player in the nation's industrial sector and a subsidiary of the Japanese multinational conglomerate Minebea Mitsumi Inc., has been operational since 2011.
