Education Minister Dr. Hang Chuon Naron Consults with School Principals on Achievements and Challenges

PHNOM PENH: Dr. Hang Chuon Naron, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education, Youth and Sports, along with Un Bot, Deputy Governor of Kampong Thom Province, and Mr. Tan Bunhong, Director of the Provincial Department of Education, Youth and Sports, conducted a series of meetings with principals from three schools in Kampong Thom province. These meetings aimed to identify and address the myriad challenges faced by educational institutions to improve school operations efficiently.

During his visits to Hun Sen Srah Banteay High School, Hun Sen Kreul Andong Po Secondary School, and South Lake Primary, Dr. Hang Chuon Naron engaged directly with the principals to discuss the strengths, obstacles, and the overall educational climate within their respective schools. A significant focus of these discussions revolved around the implementation of various assessments, including International (PISA), Regional (SEA-PLM), and National (NLA) tests, to gauge and enhance academic standards.

In conclusion, Dr. Hang Chuon Naron urged all school principals, educators, and students to work collaboratively towards maintaining the educational curriculum's pace. He emphasized the importance of instilling respect for road traffic laws among students to safeguard lives and urged them to steer clear of drugs, highlighting the destructive impact of substance abuse on individuals, their families, and society.
