BREAKING NEWS: PM Hun Manet Orders Immediate Crackdown on Gambling Locations Across Cambodia

Phnom Penh: Cambodia's Prime Minister, Hun Manet, issued a directive through a voice message to all capital and provincial governors, mandating them to immediately inspect and act against gambling sites within their jurisdictions.

The Prime Minister has ordered the closure of newly established gambling venues and requires reports on actions that could lead to the revocation of licenses both in the province and nationally.

He emphasized that it is time to unite in implementing the Royal Government's seventh mandate policies focused on infrastructure development, including roads, electricity, canals, the deployment of local agricultural officials, and the establishment of factories and enterprises to generate employment and income. The expansion of gaming venues, even if legally permitted, is not aligned with these objectives, according to the Prime Minister.
