Former First Lady Hospitalized after Fall

PHNOM PENH: Former Prime Minister Hun Sen said that his wife, Bun Rany, is currently in good health while being treated at Calmette Hospital. He took to social media on the morning of February 2 to say, "Over the last two days, people have been broadcasting information saying that my wife is sick. This is true. There is no cover-up and there is no need to spread the word. ”

He said that four days ago, his wife fell and hit her head, then went to be examined and treated at Calmette Hospital. He said that after careful medical examination, she is now in good health, but remains in the hospital for follow-up care.

The former PM denied reports that his wife is being treated abroad. He thanked the Queen Mother for visiting his wife at the hospital, and thanked all who have expressed their concern for his wife's health.

He added, "Take this opportunity to send a message to the bad guys. Please stop polluting the information [pool] and pay attention to protecting your health rather than thinking about my family."
