Ministry of Agriculture to Establish Lab and Academy

PHNOM PENH: Minister of Agriculture Dith Tina confirmed that the Ministry of Agriculture plans to establish a National Agricultural Laboratory and the Academy of Agricultural Sciences in Cambodia.

At the closing ceremony of the summary of the Ministry’s 2023 achievements on January 30, Minister Dith Tina said that the Ministry of Agriculture is preparing to establish a Royal Decree to establish a National Agricultural Laboratory to promote experiments that meet international standards and another one to establish a Veterinary Committee to improve the management of the veterinary profession and animal husbandry in Cambodia.

The Ministry of Agriculture is also preparing a legal document to propose the establishment of the Academy of Agricultural Sciences of Cambodia, which plans to bring together a joint research unit for all specialists under a new public administration for economic efficiency and sustainability for further research.
