GX Foundation Continues to Treat Cataracts and Dengue Fever in Cambodia

PHNOM PENH: The GX Foundation announced that it will continue to support Cambodia’s health sector with a focus on treating corneal opacity and fighting dengue fever.

On January 29, Prime Minister Hun Manet held a meeting with GX President Leung Chun-Ying to reaffirm the NGO’s commitment to continued cooperation with the Cambodian government.

The GX President informed the Prime Minister about the success of cooperation between his foundation and Cambodia’s Ministry of Health in the past, especially in treating corneal opacity, which often coincides with cataracts, in some of the provinces.

He said that GX plans to expand cataract screening and treatment services to even more provinces, along with intensifying the fight against dengue fever.

The Prime Minister thanked GX for its contribution to Cambodia’s healthcare sector and welcomed the foundation’s expansion. He encouraged the Foundation to work with the Health Ministry to identify target provinces that will most benefit from the services it provides.
