Ministry of Labor Supports Training in Gem Processing and Jewelry Making

Minister of Labor and Vocational Training, Heng Sour, has expressed his support for training Cambodians in gems and jewelry to increase trade volume. Minister Heng Sour expressed his support in a meeting with President of the Cambodian Association of Jewelers and Gems Traders Chhay Sinath, held at the Ministry of Labor on January 16.

The Minister of Labor emphasized that the skill of crafting diamonds and jewelry is important in promoting the gem and jewelry processing sector in Cambodia.

The president of the association thanked the Minister of Labor for supporting training in the techniques of processing gems and jewelry.

He said that the trade volume between Cambodia and its partners in the jewelry industry is worth billions of dollars per year, which also contributes to the development of the Cambodian economy.
