PM Meets with Grab CEO in Switzerland

DAVOS: Prime Minister Hun Manet is meeting with industry leaders from all sectors while attending the World Economic Forum in Switzerland this week, including transportation and tourism. On January 16, the PM met with Grab CEO and Co-Founder Anthony Tan, who said that his company is committed to encouraging businesses to use the Grab app as a good example of respecting traffic laws and providing safety and comfort to its customers on a regular basis.

During the meeting, Mr. Tan thanked the PM for allowing him and his colleagues to pay a courtesy call and informed the leader of Grab’s recent professional activities. Grab was established in 2012 as a smartphone tech company to provide delivery and digital payment services for drivers, partners, merchants and consumers. Grab has a business presence in Cambodia, Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam.

The PM welcomed the meeting with the Grab CEO and thanked him for investing in Cambodia’s transportation sector. He said that Grab's business model has contributed significantly to attracting and mobilizing informal workers and praised the Grab app for constantly evolving and modernizing. The PM supported Grab's commitment to providing an example of respecting traffic laws and providing safety and comfort to its customers.
