Santepheap Community Pre-school Phum Tuek L’ak Official Launching

Kampong Chhnang: On Tuesday 16th January 2024, the National Bank of Cambodia and Credit Bureau (Cambodia) Co., Ltd., organized the official launching ceremony for Santepheap Community Pre-school Phum Tuek L’ak, Khum Saeb, Kampong Tralach District, Kampong Chhnang Province. This ceremony was presided over by His Excellency Rath Sovannorak, Deputy Governor of the National Bank of Cambodia.

Education is truly the core fundamental foundation for country’s sustainable growth. Early education does not only provide children the space to​ study but also to expand and express their creativity and imagination. The establishment of Santepheap Community Pre-school in La Ork Village was initiated by the National Bank of Cambodia and supported by Credit Bureau (Cambodia) Co., Ltd.

His Excellency Rath Sovannorak, stated that “Pre-school education is very important to cultivate the habit of reading, discipline, morality and good mannerism from an early age and also provides more opportunities for the elders to enhance their financial security.”

Mr. Oeur Sothearoath, CEO of Credit Bureau Cambodia, mentioned that “contributing to social responsibility is one of CBC’s commitments to join hands for development in Cambodia, especially in the education sector. This year, we established the Santepheap Community Pre-school Phum Tuek L’ak was initiated by the National Bank of Cambodia, which enables all young children in the community to easily access pre-school education.”

He also added that “CBC believes that this community pre-school will become a crucial starting point for young kids in the community to start their education to support them before they start their official foundation class in state school. Children are an important cell for the future development of the country. CBC will keep committing to contribute to social contributions in education, the financial sector, etc.”

The launching ceremony was also attended by honorable guests from, the National Committee for Organizing National and International Festivals, Kampong Tralach District Governor, Provincial Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sport, and Management of Credit Bureau Cambodia, along with 40 children together with elders from the community and local authorities the total participants were around 150 people.

Santepheap Community Pre-school Phum Tuek L’ak has one building with two classrooms equipped with: books, tables, chairs, whiteboard, sanity area, bathroom, park, and playground, which allow around 50 young children in the community to study.
