Locatelli Completes Move to Juventus

INTERNATIONAL: Italy’s standout star from Euro 2020, Manuel Locatelli, has completed his loan move to Juventus from Turin’s Sassuolo. The deal includes a $40-million obligation to buy the player at the end of the 2022-23 season, with terms and conditions.

The 23-year-old midfielder scored twice in Italy's 3-0 group stage win over Switzerland to help it secure a berth in the last-16. It was a pivotal game, with Italy going onto win the tournament. Locatelli has scored three times for Italy in 15 appearances.

He’s a welcome addition at Juventus, with it having endured a difficult campaign last season. The defending champions finished fourth in Serie A. They begin their 2021-22 season at Udinese on Sunday.
