PHNOM PENH: Minister of Interior Sar Sokha and US Ambassador to Cambodia W. Patrick Murphy have praised the results of cooperation between Cambodian and US law enforcement agencies in information sharing and the prevention and suppression of all forms of crime.

On January 12, the two men met to discuss diplomatic relations and promote cooperation on multiple fronts. During the meeting, the Minister of Interior expressed his support for the long-standing diplomatic relations between Cambodia and the United States, especially in people-to-people relations, which he said have contributed to development, growth and mutual benefit on both sides.

Minister Sar Sokha also thanked Ambassador Murphy for the efforts put forth in his diplomatic mission, saying that he has always focused on promoting cooperation between Cambodia and the United States in key areas such as economy, politics, trade, culture, environment, tourism, national defense and security.

The US Ambassador thanked the Minister of the Interior for allowing him and his colleagues to pay him a courtesy call. He congratulated the progress and fruitful results of the two countries’ relations in the past and hoped that the legal cooperation between the two sides would continue to yield positive results in the future.
