Ministry of Tourism Backs "Phnom Festival" to Boost Tourism Potential

Phnom Penh: The Ministry of Tourism has thrown its support behind the "Phnom Festival," an event organized by the private sector to spotlight local tourism and harness its potential.

Representing the Minister of Tourism, Mr. Kuch Panhasa, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Tourism, attended the opening ceremony of the "Phnom Festival." The event, held under the auspices of the Department of Tourism of Pursat Province, featured the Veal Veng District Administration, private sector stakeholders, and approximately 300 tourists. It took place on December 23, 2023, with sponsorship from Mountain Coffee, Wonderpass Technology, Solo Landscapes, and Kai Creative Station.

Mr. Kuch Panhasa highlighted that the "Phnom Festival" was organized to promote local tourism in line with the Ministry of Tourism's motto, "Patriotism, Know the Land." The festival aimed to showcase tourism potential and investment opportunities in the 1,500 mountains area of Veal Veng District, Pursat Province. This region offers new tourism products, luxury resorts, and stunning natural beauty, making it an ideal destination known as the "Hidden Flowers" of Pursat province.

Additionally, the event sought to foster collaboration between the public and private sectors, encouraging investors to explore opportunities in the 1,500 mountains region. It also demonstrated the Ministry of Tourism's commitment by organizing various tourist attractions and promoting technology in tourism through digital advertising and booking facilitated by Wonderpass Technology.

The "Phnom Festival" took place on December 23 and 24, 2023, at Phnom Café in the 1,500 mountains of Veal Veng District, Pursat Province. The event featured concerts and a diverse range of entertainment programs.
