Cambodia-China Relations Deepen in the Face of Complex Global Context

PHNOM PENH: On November 23, Former Prime Minister Hun Sen, met with the Vice Chairwoman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, Shen Yueyue, where they expressed confidence in the relationship between Cambodia and China in the face of complex international politics.

During the meeting, Shen Yueyue stated that her visit to Cambodia further promoted practical cooperation in building a high-quality and high-standard joint venture between Cambodia and China in the new era.

The former PM highlighted China's advantages in participating in Cambodia’s development, which he said has strengthened Cambodia's independence. He thanked China for its contribution.

During the meeting, the two sides pledged to further enhance the fruitful achievements of the "Industrial and Technological Corridor" and the "Fisheries and Rice Corridor" under their Diamond Cooperation. They stressed that in the context of complex international politics, the two sides are committed to supporting each other to maintain peace, stability, and development, while deepening people-to-people ties.
