U.S. Embassy Organizes “Restaurant Week 2023: Fresh From the USA” to Promote U.S. Agricultural Products

PHNOM PENH– U.S. Ambassador to Cambodia W. Patrick Murphy launched “Restaurant Week 2023: Fresh from the USA” today in Phnom Penh to promote U.S. agricultural products to the Cambodian business and culinary communities.

Restaurant Week expands the reach of highly regarded, quality U.S. food products in a key hospitality market. The launch event brought together participating restaurants who proudly use U.S. food ingredients, the U.S. Meat Export Federation, U.S. food importers, a culinary school, restaurant and hotel association, food social media influencers, chefs, and many local foodies.

In his remarks, Ambassador Murphy noted, “Restaurant Week is one example of the many marketing activities the U.S. Department of Agriculture conducts around the world to introduce consumers to high-quality, nutritious, and safe U.S. food. The agricultural trade relationship between our two countries continues to grow. Beef exports alone from United States to Cambodia increased 130 percent from 2021 to 2022.”

Starting on November 13 and running until November 19, some of the best restaurants in Phnom Penh are offering delectable prix-fixe menus and other promotions for both lunch and dinner. Find a complete list of the participating restaurants and more information at https://freshfromtheusa.asia/ .
