Cambodia, China Sign 8 Memorandums to Strengthen Cooperation

BEIJING: The prime ministers of Cambodia and China oversaw a signing ceremony of eight Memorandums of Understanding during China’s 3rd Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation.

The documents included:

1. A Memorandum of Understanding on Joint Promotion of the Third Key Project for Cambodia-China Production Capacity and Investment Cooperation.

2. A Memorandum of Understanding on the Establishment of a Working Mechanism for the Implementation of the Bilateral Cooperation Plan for the Joint Construction of the 21st Century Silk Road.

3. A Memorandum of Understanding on Investment Cooperation in Green and Low Carbon Development.

4. A Concessional Loan Agreement for the Financing of Rural Power Transmission Project-Phase 8.

5. An Exchange of Letters for the Study of the Feasibility of the Preah Vihear Temple Renovation Project Under the Grant Funding from the Chinese Government.

6. Minutes of the Meeting on Study of the Feasibility on the Location of the Phase 3 Rural Road Project in Cambodia within the framework of a grant from the Chinese Government.

7. A Memorandum of Understanding on the Establishment of the Cambodia-China Railway Cooperation Mechanism.

8. A Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the Construction of the China-Cambodia Industrial Park between Cambodia’s Ministry of Commerce and the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region of the People's Republic of China.

The signing ceremony took place in Beijing on October 17, with Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet and Chinese Prime Minister Li Qiang as witnesses.
